Spring is the most breathtaking in the mountains. It fascinates, surprises, shines with the contrasting colors and feelings – warm and cold, snow on the slopes and flourishing herbs in the valleys, clear fresh air and fragrant of fir trees. In short, this is Carpathians… who once visited it, he would be certainly back again.

You even imagine the beauty of the picturesque landscape from the highest point of Ukraine, say it is from the «roof» of the outstanding Hoverla Mountain, which is on the Chornohora mountain range of the Ukrainian Carpathians at an altitude of 2061 m above the sea level. You will never forget such landscapes, it is for sure. Snow-white mountain ice blocks stuck seem straight into the sky and at the same time bright green grass at the foot of the mountain looks like in the fairy tale, like a true masterpiece of nature.

Lakes in the mountains in spring is particularly unsurpassed: Nesamovyte Lake, Brebeneskul Lake, Maricheika and Lebedyn Lakes are always clear and mysterious.

Maniavskyi waterfall, the highest waterfall of Prykarpattia, will also impress you by its spring views. It was formed by cold waters of the Maniavka mountain river. Its crystal waves flow with incredible roar from a great height into stone canyon, creating an amazing waterfall. The height of canyon's rocks is over 20 meters. For many years there is a monastery above the waterfall; it stands like enjoying this water mist from the waterfall. The legend says that the famous leader of the Ukrainian rebells of the XVII century Olekas Dovbush came here to recuperate and to take spiritual blessing.Water and place here is healing and grace as the locals say.

Another nature's wonder of Prykarpattia associates with the leader of Ukrainian rebells is a unique complex of rocks, named the Dovbush Rocks. In itself this is a chaotic accumulation of huge rocks, stones formed over 70 millions years ago. These stones from all sides was cut in deep and always dark ravines, holes, secret passages and paths. This stone labyrinth stretches from east to west almost for 1 km, it is nearly to the place where there is a collision of beech and fir forests. This place always attracts tourists by its mystical and mysterious.

In several kilometers west from the Dovbush Rocks at an altitude of 780 m above the sea level there is a unique karst lake which is called “Dead” because of its cold and clear water.

Not only mountains and lakes are the most beautiful places of this region. Prykarpattia is famous by its historical and architectural sites that in spring look like alive with new and new colors. In particular, ruins of Rakovetsky Castle will impress you as well as the medieval Chernelytsia Castle , the castle and the monastery in Mariayampol will be a real discover for you. The castle in Pryozerne village will attract your attention by its amazing beauty as well as the same castle in the ancient village Psary. The small village Krylos will pleasantly surprise you, as well as Sniatyn, Rohatyn and Halych. They have neat market squares and wooden churches which will be very interesting for tourists. You may also visit wooden churches in Vorokhta, Dora and Kolomyia, the monastery in Hoshiv. The pearls of Prykarpattia like Verkhovyna, Yaremche and other towns and villages are in interest for tourists for decades.

Here, among mountains' peaks and slopes, fir forests and rocky rivers everyone can find a way to your own healing. This region is a real paradise for tourists.
